2nd Mountainrun Grindelwald

The Grindelwald mountain run is a unique mountain run in a breathtaking mountain scenery. With the Eiger, Mettenberg and Wetterhorn behind you, it goes from 1045 metres above sea level up to 2155 metres. The first 500 metres run through the village, then the climb begins. After about 2km and about 250 meters altitude difference the EKI Sprint is waiting for the runners. There is a winner's cheque worth CHF 200 for the fastest man and woman. At KM 4 a snack is waiting for the runners at Bort. After the refreshment follows the crispy ascent to the Waldspitz. Over a distance of 1 kilometre the runners will climb 300 metres. Finally, the Yellow Fountain awaits as a bouquet, until you reach the First mountain station at around 2155 metres above sea level and cross the finish line.
