Grindelwald
inside
Climbers and visitors from all over the world come together in Grindelwald – what may at first sight seem out of place proves to have things in common: after all, the Japanese Direttissima is one of the most well-known routes up the North Face of the Eiger. Grindelwald, the village of the Eiger and its glaciers, is a lively, diverse place where active holidays are guaranteed to be a success.
Grindelwald is just as delightful in summer as it is in winter. Hiking enthusiasts can enjoy spectacular panoramic views from 300 kilometres of well-marked footpaths. For those who prefer a faster pace, there are 160 kilometres of mountain bike trails in the region, not to mention the excitement of tandem paragliding, canyon jumping, the First Flyer zip wire, the toboggan run, the indoor Rope Park, river rafting or scooter hire.

Association of Châlet and Apartment Owners
Our members have been spending their leisure time and holidays in the beautiful glacier village for years - partly for generations. There are numerous close and friendly connections with many local residents, but also close contacts with various associations such as Grindelwald Tourism or the Guest of Honour Club. We want to cultivate all these relationships especially in the future. If you are the owner of an apartment or chalet and live away from home, we look forward to welcoming you as a new member of our association. Interested?

In 1972 the landlords of Grindelwald founded the «Local holiday home association of Grindelwald (VVFG)». As a result the tourism board of Grindelwald became the main contact for all holiday apartments. 73 founder members showed that this association answered a basic need. 2010 the name was changed to "wir grindelwalder" - that means "we are Grindelwalders". All 166 members are local residents and as competent hosts we'll inform and accompany you, where required, during your holidays."wir grindelwalder" will arrange unforgettable experiences for you in the valley of Grindelwald.
