At first the trail leads up towards Allmendhubel, however it branches off a little earlier. Until Pletschalp you follow the signpost to Mountain View Trail; there are no significant uphill or downhill sections to negotiate. Then the route continues via Marchegg down to Sousläger. The ascent up to the Lobhorn Hut is about 250 vertical metres. From the Lobhornhut there's a breath-taking view of the beautiful Lobhorn peaks and, of course, of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Aside from delicious meals and snacks, the hut also offers beds for overnight guests. The descent is via Chüebodmi back to Sousläger, and finally to Grütschalp.
From Grütschalp, a pleasant walking path leads back to Mürren. There's also the option of taking a train for the stretch Grütschalp - Mürren.

- The Sulsseewli is only about 10 minutes away from the Lobhorn hut and absolutely worth seeing
- The hut is guarded from June to mid-October
- From Isenfluh a cable car leads to Sulwald. From there it takes about 1,5h to the hut.

- Das Sulsseewli ist nur ca.10 Minuten von der Lobhornhütte entfernt und absolut sehenswert
- Von Isenfluh führt eine Seilbahn nach Sulwald. Von dort beträgt die Laufzeit zur Hütte ungefähr 1,5h
Equipment
- Die Sonneneinstrahlung ist in den Bergen erhöht. Sonnencreme mit hohem Schutzfaktor, Sonnenhut und Sonnenbrille mit UV-Schutz gehören auf jeden Fall ins Gepäck.
- Ebenfalls im Sommer und bei schönem «Startwetter» muss warme Kleidung und einen Regenschutz dabei sein. Empfehlenswert ist das Schichtprinzip mit verschiedenen Lagen von Kleidern.

Getting There
Public transport
Thanks to its central location in Europe, Switzerland is served by international trains from over 12 countries. Within Switzerland, Intercity trains run from Basel and Lucerne directly to the Jungfrau Region. Travellers from Zurich change trains in Bern. Trains run every half hour.
Ticket purchase and timetable SBB
The cable car takes guests from Stechelberg via Gimmelwald to Mürren. Alternatively, you can take the gondola and train via Grütschalp.
Getting there
By car from Basel/Zurich/Geneva via Bern or Lucerne/Brünigpass. This is open in summer and winter. From the south, travel to the region via the Grimsel or Susten Pass (only in summer) or the Simplon Pass and then the Lötschberg car transport.
Lauterbrunnen multi-storey car park or the uncovered car park at the Schilthorn cable car in Stechelberg. The Lauterbrunnen car park can be reserved online. The rates from the car park in Stechelberg can be found here.
