Arrival by train
International trains of over twelve countries within Europe offer train connections to Switzerland. Within Switzerland, you can reach Interlaken Ost by Intercity trains, with connections to the region. There are direct trains from Basel to Interlaken Ost; from Zurich or Geneva you need to change in Bern. Trains run every 30 minutes.
Daily connections to Interlaken with ICE Frankfurt-Braunschweig-Berlin and EC Karlsruhe-Mainz-Köln-Düsseldorf-Amsterdam trains, make travelling by trai.

The Junior card from the Swiss Transport Company is valid for a year and costs CHF 30 each for the first two children, any further children are free of charge. Children between 6-16 travel for free when accompanied by an adult. Free travel for children aged 6-16 accompanied by a grandparent.
Junior and Grandchild cards are available at the desks at the railway stations, post offices and in the tourist centres.
