Grindelwald has everything that an adventurous winter sports enthusiast could want. Delight in the snow-covered powder slopes and freshly groomed carving slopes, try the Snow Fun Park or even test your skills on one of the racing runs in the Grindelwald-Wengen area. There are over 200 kilometres of slopes for you to discover, guaranteeing a unique experience for all ages.

Here you can find out which lifts are currently open as well as the current snow conditions and conditions on the slopes. Maps of the various slopes are provided to help you find your way around.

FIS rules

There are certain rules that have to be followed when practising winter sports in order to avoid accidents. These are called the FIS rules and they determine how everyone should behave on the slopes. These are simple rules that will not affect your enjoyment of skiing in any way.

Ski tours

Experience thrilling ascents, unique views of the summits and unforgettable descents off the marked trails. For ski tours and splitboard tours, we always recommend booking a qualified snow sports instructor or mountain guide. Don’t have the right equipment? Our local sports shops will be happy to help.

GoSnow snow sports initiative

The association “Schneesportinitiative Schweiz” is a public-private partnership that promotes snow sports. This non-profit organisation was founded in May 2014 by national associations from various sectors of the snow sports industry, along with the cantons and the federal government, with the aim of encouraging children and young people in particular to take up snow sports. GoSnow.ch platform provides schools and teachers with information, teaching materials and, best of all, pre-organised snow sports camps and days out at great prices.

Kids on Ski

Children aged three to five years in various Kids on Ski weeks stay for free in our partner hotels. The ski equipment and ski school are also free for children in this age group. Parents and other family members pay the normal price.
