You can either start the ski tour at the First mountain station or you can take the Oberjoch chairlift to get a bit of a headstart. From the mountain station of the Oberjoch chairlift, you ski southwest through Widderfeld hollow to the Gummihitta at 2,260 m above sea level. Continue along the well-maintained winter hiking trail to Lake Bachalp. At the lake, leave the winter hiking trail to the left and head uphill to the south in the direction of the «Hireleni» pass. Continue below the «uf Spitzen» ridge until you reach the summit via the east ridge. Once you reach Uf Spitzen at 2,380 m above sea level, you can take in the magnificent mountain panorama for the first time and forget the rigours of the ascent.
The descent leads over the initially steep southeastern flank directly to the winter hiking trail, which is reached southwest of Waldspitz. Follow the winter hiking trail further downhill until you reach a crossroads just below Bort. If there is enough snow, you can continue on skis down to Grindelwald. Otherwise, a ten-minute walk takes you up to the Bort middle station where you can take the cable car back to the village.
