Grindelwald Local History Museum

A museum centred around these topics: history – agriculture and Alpine farming – mountaineering – winter sports – railways – crafts – technology – painting the mountains. The Grindelwald Museum is open from the end of December to the end of March and from the beginning of June to mid-October. It is located by the church, around 1 km from Grindelwald railway station.

The local history museum in Grindelwald is located right next to the church.

Glacier gorge

The 300 metre high rock faces of the glacier gorge bear witness to the incredible power of the lower Grindelwald glacier. Unfortunately, this glacier no longer exists. But the glacier gorge is a reminder of it and is no less spectacular, offering a unique, genuine glimpse into the past with the footbridge deep inside. The rushing waters of the Lütschine, the constant light wind and the impressive light conditions make this place exciting for all the senses.
