What the region has to offer
The Jungfrau Region offers trail runners a wide variety of terrain, from leisurely forest and meadow trails to technically challenging trails on Alpine terrain. Some trail running routes are also popular with hikers. During the peak season (July/August) and on weekends, the trails can be quite crowded. The routes at higher elevations can also be covered with snow during the summer months.
Equipment
Having the right equipment can make tours much easier. Don’t underestimate the importance of getting your gear right – everything from your rucksack and poles to your shoes. You should also take a rescue blanket, a mobile phone, food and a jacket that is windproof and waterproof. Trail running is much more fun with the proper equipment.
Rules to follow
