Excursion into the UNESCO World Heritage Site

With smarTrails, the Jungfrau Region can be discovered in a digital and playful way. All that is needed to take part is an internet-enabled smartphone. A virtual map guides you to various stations where puzzles, information and interactive content are unlocked directly on your smartphone.

The approximately two-hour excursion leads from Pfingstegg to Bäregg and focuses on the UNESCO World Heritage Site Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. Along the way, you will learn more about climate change, changes in the alpine landscape and the importance of the World Heritage Site for Grindelwald and the region.

The route combines outdoor activity with interesting background information and shows in an engaging way why the UNESCO World Heritage Site is so unique and worthy of protection.
