Oberaletschhütte SAC

Massive stone house at the foot of the Fusshörner, in the centre of the alpine glacier area of the Aletschhorn, Schinhorn and Nesthorn. The hut is the starting point for a variety of skiing, mountaineering and climbing tours. Due to the retreat of the glacier, the direct route over the Oberaletsch glacier has become increasingly difficult and inaccessible for many people. The new Panorama trail via Lochegga is now a tourist attraction in the Unesco World Heritage area.
