Practical tips for your stay in Grindelwald

TRANSPORTATION

Grindelwald-Männlichen
The new terminal in Grindelwald has been built in accordance with the requirements of the Swiss Disability Discrimination Act. The ticket office, toilets and railway are all on the same level. The new gondola allows for ground-level access at the bottom station, middle station and mountain station.

Jungfrau railways
A low-floor carriage that is easily accessible with a wheelchair or electric wheelchair runs from Interlaken Ost to Kleine Scheidegg. From Kleine Scheidegg to the Eiger Glacier and the Jungfraujoch, staff will be happy to assist you with getting on and off. However, we strongly recommend that wheelchair users take the more convenient route through Grindelwald Terminal and on the Eiger Express. With this route, it is easy to get on and off independently. Most of the infrastructure on the Jungfraujoch is wheelchair-accessible (including the ice palace).
