From the idea to the event

Since 2017, Grindelwald has been working on developing the guest segment of culinary enthusiasts, the so-called “foodies”. The inclusion of our local cuisine plays a fundamental role in this. In 2022, the concept of the “Taste of Grindelwald” was born in a large workshop with various interest groups.

The “Top Taste of Grindelwald” in particular gained immense momentum over the course of 2023! The surprising and varied gourmet offer in Grindelwald is not only reported on in the trade press. A steadily growing guest segment is also enjoying the new culinary offering.

With the rapid development of top gastronomy in Grindelwald and driven by the Gault Millau and Michelin award-winning establishments, a milestone has now been set in the culinary positioning of Grindelwald. With six founding members, the “Top Taste of Grindelwald Alpine Excellence Food Festival” association was established on 4 December 2023 to organize the new culinary highlight “Top Taste of Grindelwald Alpine Excellence Food Festival”.
