Your cow, your cheese

A unique treat full of culture and tradition

A cheese may only be labelled “Alpkäse” (Alpine cheese) if the milk production and cheese-making take place on the Alps. And this is exactly how the cheese is made at the Nebiker Sentuum in the mountain community of Wärgistal. Become a cow sponsor and be a part of sustainable cheese production.

Your cow will spend the summer on the mountain, grazing on healthy grass and herbs. The dairy farmer will milk the cow and process the milk into delicious cheese right on the mountain.

In the autumn, you can pick up your cheese at the “Chästeilet” festival or by arrangement with the Alpine dairy farmer.

Duration: approx. 90 days on the mountain from June to September
Cow fee: CHF 380
Expected amount of cheese: approx. 30–120 kilos of cheese per cow
Full fat: Special price of CHF 20 per kilo
