FAQ Deux in the snow
FAQ for Deux in the snow snow sports camp in Grindelwald
For a comfortable journey by public transport, we recommend purchasing the RailAway offer, which will be available directly from a public transport counter from the beginning of November. GoSnow tickets entitle you to travel throughout the GA area from 09.00 am. It is recommended to reserve seats; this is the responsibility of the teachers. Please note that these costs are not charged via GoSnow. Further information can be found here.
Please book any bus journeys during the camp week via info@grindelwaldbus.ch. Reservations for buses at normal timetable times are free of charge and must be made by 12.00 noon the day before at the latest.
For camp luggage and ski and snowboard equipment (if you bring your own), there is the option of booking door-to-door luggage transport by public transport. The booking is made online via SBB by the teacher, the costs are included in the ‘Deux in the snow’ price.
For luggage transport, the snow sports equipment and camp luggage must be brought to school on the Friday before the camp week. The luggage will then be delivered directly to the camp centre on Monday afternoon. On the day of return, the luggage is left at the camp centre and delivered to the school on the following Monday. Students can therefore start the camp with a day rucksack.
The hire equipment for the students is included in the GoSnow offer. Please note that helmets are included in the offer, but ski goggles and gloves are not. We recommend that students bring sunglasses as an alternative.
The rental equipment is available on Monday at OUTDOOR - Grindelwald Shop and Café, located at Dorfstrasse 103 in Grindelwald. Please ensure that you collect the rental equipment on time (according to the communicated arrival time, which is noted in the weekly programme).
The return takes place on Friday directly at the Eiger Lodge. Important: The ski boots must be fastened together with the Velcro straps and all buckles must be closed.
The ski passes will be given to you directly when you collect the hire equipment. Changes to the number of participants must be communicated via melanie.trummer@grindelwald.swiss at least one week before the start of the camp.
