FAQ for GoSnow snow sports camps in Grindelwald

Arrival and accommodation

For a comfortable journey by public transport, we recommend purchasing the RailAway offer, which will be available directly at a public transport counter from the beginning of November. Grindelwald Youth Hostel

  • The youth hostel is about 15 minutes' walk from Grindelwald railway station. Bus 122 takes you to Gaggi Säge station, which is in the immediate vicinity. For groups, we recommend a bus reservation, which can be made directly via Grindelwald Bus: 033 854 16 16.

Eiger Lodge Grindelwald

  • The Eiger Lodge is only about a 6-minute walk from Grindelwald Terminal. If you are travelling by train, you can easily get off at the Grindelwald Terminal stop - one stop before the Grindelwald Bahnhof terminus.

Lodge mountain restaurant Kleine Scheidegg

  • After the train journey to Grindelwald station, you continue your journey on the Wengernalp Railway towards Kleine Scheidegg. This additional journey takes about half an hour. The accommodation is located directly at the Kleine Scheidegg stop.
Rental material

The hire equipment for pupils is included in the GoSnow offer. Teachers and accompanying persons benefit from a 20% reduction on the hire fee, which is paid directly on site. Please note that helmets are included in the offer, but ski goggles are not. We recommend that students bring sunglasses as an alternative.

The rental equipment is available from INTERSPORT Rent-Network, the branch is located in the terminal at Grindelwald Grund. Please contact Intersport in good time on 033 853 04 00 to arrange the handover time for the equipment.

Handover of ski passes

The ski passes are deposited at the Grindelwald railway station or Grindelwald Terminal at the counter in the name of the teacher so that you can collect them on arrival.

Free activity

During the camp you can enjoy a free activity at the sports centre. Your class can choose between admission to the indoor swimming pool or the ice rink, including skate hire. Please contact the sports centre team in good time to make a reservation. The sports centre accepts reservations by e-mail to sport@grindelwald.swiss. Please use the reference "GoSnow".

Tasks of the teachers
  • They take care of all educational matters during the camp, in particular the organization and implementation of all activities off the slopes (evening program, etc.).
  • You can organize additional activities in the evening; we recommend giving the students rest periods in addition to the planned program.
  • You ensure that the rules of the accommodation are adhered to and establish common rules of conduct for the camp; it is advisable to coordinate with the other tandems who are also present during this week.
  • They take care of the students in the event of illness, an accident or other problems.
  • The teachers also have the following responsibilities in connection with the preparation of the camp:
  • Fill out the required documents in a timely manner
  • Collect the parents' contribution and pay the participation fees
  • Purchase train tickets, reserve seats on the train, organize luggage transport and inform parents/guardians.
