What the region has to offer

The Jungfrau Region offers trail runners a wide variety of terrain, from snow-covered forest to technically challenging uphill trails on steep terrain. Always check the current conditions and do not leave the marked winter routes.

Equipment

Having the right equipment can make tours much easier. Don’t underestimate the importance of getting your gear right – everything from your rucksack and poles to your shoes. You should also take a rescue blanket, a mobile phone, food and drink and a jacket that is windproof and waterproof. Trail running is much more fun with the proper equipment.

Rules to follow

  • Only run on the established paths.
  • Leave no trace. Take your rubbish with you.
  • Heed warnings from the avalanche service.
  • Don’t leave the marked trails.
  • Be considerate of wildlife and respect protected areas.
